My cat won’t drink once the fountain stops running. What do I do?

This usually means your cat has learned to associate drinking with movement, not that still water is unsafe for her. Keep the fountain running as much as possible and check the pump and filter regularly, since a struggling motor slows the flow gradually before it fails outright.
