Does warming up cat food help a picky eater?
Often yes. Cats decide a lot about food by smell, and aroma comes off food more strongly at body temperature than cold from the fridge. Warming wet food to around 100 degrees Fahrenheit (close to body temperature) for 10 to 15 seconds in a microwave-safe dish, then stirring to even out hot spots, frequently makes a refused bowl interesting again. Do not warm food in the can, and never serve it hot enough to risk burning her tongue.
