Why won’t my cat eat right after I switched foods?
Cats are wired to be cautious about unfamiliar food. A sudden full switch from one brand or format to another commonly triggers refusal, sometimes with stomach upset on top of it. The fix is patience and a gradual transition: start with mostly the old food and a small amount of the new, then shift the ratio every few days over a week or two. Warm wet food to about body temperature to make the aroma stronger. If she refuses everything for 24 to 48 hours, that is a vet visit, not a standoff.
